Optimization Design and Fatigue Lifetime Analysis for Elastic Wheel of Low-floor Trams Using in Urban Rail Transit

Abstract Elastic wheel is an important component of the low floor tram using in urban rail transit, so it significance to optimize its structure and predict service lifetime. Firstly, fatigue characteristics rubber material are studied based on crack energy theory, a finite element model elastic for lifetime prediction constructed. The numerical simulation results show that such does not match with expected one. Secondly, orthogonal test Sobol model, improved sensitivity analysis method proposed. Taking minimum strain as optimization objective, selecting structural parameters determined by design variables, second-order response surface established, multi-island genetic algorithm used carry out single objective multi-factor bodies under condition stiffness constraint. optimized 30% higher than original Finally, tested, coefficient, well, all satisfy requirements.
